Dairy Explorer utilises spectral analysis to determine the fat, protein and SCC of milk on a cow-by-cow basis.
The technology utilises a blend of physics + chemistry + biology coupled with advanced analysis, proprietary algorithms, and big-data sets, to provide dairy farmers with information that enables them to optimise the performance of their herd.
Milk is used for various end products (aside from the carton of milk we buy!) such as cheese, yoghurt and ice-cream. By analysing the quality of milk on a cow-by-cow basis, the dairy farmer can work towards certain requirements for certain end products, thereby adding efficiency, effectiveness and profits to the supply chain, whilst giving consumers a higher quality (and better tasting!) end product.
